The 2nd International Forum on High-quality Development of Catering and Culinary Education and the 3rd National Summit Forum on Culinary and Catering Higher Education in 2024 were successfully concluded

The “2nd International Forum on High-quality Development of Catering and Culinary Education and the 3rd National Summit Forum on Culinary and Catering Management Higher Education” jointly organized by the Harbin University of Commerce Base for the National Key Construction of Vocational Teacher Training and Training of the Ministry of Education, Guangdong Vocational College of Foreign Languages ​​and Arts, Guangzhou Tourism Business Vocational School, Jiangsu Food and Drug Vocational and Technical College, and Guangxi Culinary Vocational Education Group, hosted by Shenzhen Bowei Education Technology Co., Ltd., Harbin University of Commerce, Zhejiang Commercial Technician College, and Chongqing Business Vocational College, and co-organized by Shanghai Sopas Kitchen Equipment Co., Ltd., Guangdong Benjiang Education Technology Co., Ltd., Beijing Yuanyuandiandian Network Technology Co., Ltd., Shenzhen Shijiang Future Technology Co., Ltd. and Dongying District Vocational Secondary School of Dongying City, was successfully concluded at Guangzhou China Hotel from October 19 to 21, 2024. This forum brought together forces from the government, industry, colleges and universities, and enterprises to jointly discuss the development of catering and culinary education and achieved fruitful results.

The forum is divided into several parts, including speeches by the guiding units and organizers, keynote reports, theme speeches, alliance launching ceremony, dialogue with craftsmen (roundtable meeting) and signing of MOU for international cooperation between enterprises and schools. More than 70 vocational and undergraduate colleges in China and more than ten catering colleges overseas participated in the forum, and experts and big names in the global catering and cooking field gathered together, with more than 200 participants on site.

Prof. Dr.Amiya Bhaumik, President of Lincoln University College, Malaysia, presented “Needs and Projects for International Culinary Education between Lincoln University College and Chinese Institutions”, detailing the environment, professional settings and requirements of Lincoln University College, and explored cooperation opportunities with Chinese vocational colleges in the field of culinary education.
