Entry Requirements

Entry Requirements :

i. A Bachelor’s Degree (Level 6 Malaysian Qualifications Framework, MQF) in the field or related fields with a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.75 or equivalent, as accepted by the Higher Education Provider (HEP) Senate; or

ii. A Bachelor’s Degree in the field or related fields or equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 and not meeting a CGPA of 2.75, can be accepted subject to rigorous internal assessment; or

iii. A Bachelor’s Degree in the field or related fields or equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 and not meeting a CGPA of 2.50, can be accepted subject to a minimum of five years of working experience in the relevant field and rigorous internal assessment.

iv. Candidates without a qualification in the related fields or relevant working experience must undergo appropriate prerequisite courses determined by the HEP and meet the minimum CGPA based on (i) to (iii).

For International students, the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score of 500 or the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score of 5.0 or its equivalent. If a student does not meet this requirement, HEPs must offer English proficiency courses to ensure that the student’s proficiency is sufficient to meet the needs of the program. This is normally conducted through an assessment process.

Program Duration

Full time mode duration is minimum in 2 years and part time mode duration is in 3 years.

Program Intakes

Applications can be made at any time of the year. Notification of acceptance/rejection will be given within 2 calendar months from the date of receipt of the completed application form. (For international students, subjected to the approval from EMGS).

Work Experience

Work experience is not strictly required for entry into the Master of Water Resource Management (by research) program. However, applicants with a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Engineering Technology who do not meet the minimum CGPA of 2.50 may be admitted if they have a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in the field.

Credit Hours

No credit hours are defined under this structure. However, Research Methodology and Computer Application course are compulsory for the students for their research work.

There is no age limit to study in any engineering program as long as you meet the entry requirements.
