Summary of Proposal:
Hypertension is a major contributor to cardiovascular mortality in diabetic subjects. Hence, it is necessary to include antihypertensive medication in the antidiabetic therapy regimen for effective control of complications in diabetes. In the present investigation, safety profile of the Fixed Dose Combination (FDC) of Pioglitazone, antidiabetic and Telmisartan, an antihypertensive will be evaluated.

Summary of Proposal:
Current developments on Solid Lipid Nano particles (SLN) have gained special attention on cancer chemotherapy. In this research, papain is proposed as a novel adjuvant therapy for the treatment of colorectal cancer. Papain is aproteolytic enzyme extracted from Carica papaya, degrades the protective fibrin layer of cancer cells. The main aim of this proposal is to target the papain loaded SLN delivery system to specifically colorectal cancer cells where they will exert the EPR effect and cleaving the fibrin layer that protect by the cancer cells.
