The Indonesian Pharmacy Diploma Education Association (APDEA) hosted an International Seminar and National Working Meeting, on August 27-29, 2024, aiming to improve the overall quality of pharmacy education. The event was an international CSR Collaboration between Indonesia and Malaysia.
Dr. Mohammad. Gousuddin, Associate Professor, Faculty of Pharmacy, Lincoln University College, Malaysia presented a conference paper titled “The Importance of Pharmacovigilance and Role of Healthcare Professionals” at the event on August 28, 2024. His presentation featured case studies on antibiotic-related adverse drug reactions (ADRs) and hospital medication errors, emphasizing reporting, management, and strategies like automation to minimize errors. He highlighted real-world pharmacovigilance strategies, including timely reporting, patient education, and teamwork, supported by visual aids and an engaging Q&A session that addressed challenges and potential solutions.
This event was attended by 160 participants, including leaders or lecturers from 143 institutions.
