Example Calculation:

Let’s say you took four courses with the following grades and credit hours:

Course Grade  Grade Point    Credit Hours  Quality Points

Math           A   4.0       3          4.0 × 3 = 12

English                    B+ 3.3       3          3.3 × 3 = 9.9

Biology                    B   3.0       4          3.0 × 4 = 12

Chemistry   A- 3.7       2          3.7 × 2 = 7.4

Total Quality Points: 12 + 9.9 + 12 + 7.4 = 41.3

Total Credit Hours: 3 + 3 + 4 + 2 = 12

GPA = 41.3/12

         =3.44
