The primary objective of the Doctor of Philosophy in Management programme in Lincoln University College is to prepare qualified students for careers in university-level teaching and research and for responsible positions in business and government and provide the student with a sound conceptual understanding of a set of research tools.

The Doctor of Philosophy in Management is designed to develop critical and problem-solving skills. The course develops conceptual and methodological skills in the field of management. It helps foster independent thinking and conceptualize new ideas. The program teaches advanced skills in research. Apart from that, the Open Distance Learning (ODL) mode of the course helps students learn anytime, anywhere. Students will strengthen their independent learning skills.

For successful completion of the PhD degree in management, each candidate should publish a minimum of four research articles in Scopus-indexed journals with Lincoln affiliation.

The program is offered Open and Distance Learning Mode (ODL).

Program Aim

A Doctor of Philosophy in Management has the objective of providing in-depth, advanced, and precise knowledge within a particular topic of management. It is the key element to understand the different components of management. The course aims to provide systematic and ethical knowledge. It creates an understanding of management and provides a holistic approach to management. The programme will make the candidates:

  • Knowledgeable and skilled in the theory and practice of areas of Management with the concept of research work.
