Programme Overview

The Foundation in Arts (Open Distance Learning) programme provides students with a strong foundation in arts and humanities through a flexible online learning approach. It equips students with essential analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, preparing them for further studies in various disciplines.

  1. Possess Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM)with at least CREDITS in 5 subjects; or
  2. Pass Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) with at least GRADE B in 3 subjects; or
  3. Pass O-Level with at least GRADE C  in 5 subjects; or
  4. Other equivalent qualification recognised by the Malaysian Government.

                                                

English Competency Requirement for International students:

For international student: Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) of 500 or International English Language Testing System (lELTS) of 5.0 or any other equivalent qualification for international student. If the student does not fulfill the above criteria, the Lincoln University College must offer English proficiency course to ensure that student is proficient in the language to the standard required for the program.

Career paths in the sciences are diverse, offering a wide variety of fields, including R&D, engineering, and education. After completing the Foundation in Arts, students may pursue a degree, which will then open opportunities for careers in:

  • Administrator
  • Higher education or private education roles
  • Government & non-government organization roles

The Foundation in Arts (ODL) programme will produce graduates who are able to:

  • Apply fundamental knowledge and concepts in analyzing arts-related work using theories and evidence-based findings.
  • Demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills in arts-related tasks.
  • Acquire digital literacy and numeracy skills to solve complex problems efficiently.
  • Develop critical thinking, adaptability, and lifelong learning skills for academic and professional growth.
