In a recent interview with Zing News, Dr. Asita Elengoe, Faculty of Science, Lincoln University College, Malaysia remarked that restrictive measures can be considered on a broader scale throughout the nation because it is the best way to break the chain of COVID-19 infection in the community before death control.

Dr. Asita Elengoe also emphasised the need for vaccination in the long term, as it is one of the most important keys to get out of the pandemic. Therefore, besides distance measures, the government should also focus on deploying vaccination campaigns in certain hot spots to break the outbreak.
