At the Global Investors Summit 2023, held on January 11-12, 2023, Lincoln University College (LUC), Malaysia proposes to set up a ‘Medicity’ in Indore, MP, India. LUC’s proposal is to start a ‘Medicity’ on an area of 100-acres in Indore. There will be as many as 100 courses, including MBBS. Medical, paramedical and other science related courses will be taught in the ‘Medicity.
The MP State Government received four proposals to open medical colleges, Lincoln University College, Malaysia being one of them.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between Lincoln University College and the Government of Malaysia for an investment of Rs. 450 crores. Dr. Amiya Bhaumik, Founder & President, LUC, Malaysia met the Chief Minister of MP, Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan at the event and had a discussion regarding this.
Foreign currency will flow into India as a result of this agreement, assisting the country’s development. Local people will be able to get better employment opportunities. The ‘Medicity’ will greatly improve the overall education sector in the region.
