Programme Overview

The Master of Agriculture degree program at Lincoln University College is a multi and cross disciplinary research program with innovatively addressing modern-day problems aimed to develop a professional Agriculturist. This curriculum is designed for students who will complete a research project by choosing a special research topic with the skills in project management, and communication . The program contains lots of hands-on experience in research with research methodology and computer application courses that will helps to make students highly sought-after by employers in both the public and private sectors.

For successful completion of Master’s degree in Lincoln University College, each candidate should publish minimum of two research articles in Scopus indexed journals, with Lincoln University College affiliation.

i. A bachelor’s degree in the agriculture field or related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.75 or equivalent, as accepted by the Lincoln University College Senate; or

ii. A bachelor’s degree in the agriculture field or related fields or equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 and not meeting CGPA of 2.75, can be accepted subject to rigorous internal assessment; or

iii. A bachelor’s degree in the agriculture field or related fields or equivalent with minimum CGPA of 2.00 and not meeting CGPA of 2.50, can be accepted subject to a minimum of 5 years working experience in the relevant field and rigorous internal assessment.

iv. Candidates without a qualification in the related fields or relevant working experience must undergo appropriate prerequisite courses determined by the Lincoln University College Senate and meet the minimum CGPA based on (i) to (iii).

• For International students, Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score of 500 OR International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score of 5.0 OR its equivalent.
• If a student does not meet this requirement, Lincoln University College must offer English proficiency courses to ensure that the student’s proficiency is sufficient to meet the needs of the program.
• This is normally conducted through an assessment process.
