The program started with a speech by Prof. Datin Dr. Hafizah Che Hassan, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic). During her speech, Datin Hafizah reiterated the fact that the students should not only aim for MBA but must continue their studies to the next level, as Lincoln University College believes in producing graduates who will be not job seekers but job givers.
Associate Professor Dr Midhun Chakkaravarthy, Dean, Faculty of Computer Science and Multimedia, introduced the students to the Lincoln online system, by navigating through the different areas of the student management system and how students should make their academic journey fruitful and interesting by utilizing the key features of the system.
Dr Midhun’s session was followed by Madam Sarmela, Deputy Registrar, Examination Unit. During her session, Madam Sarmela briefed the students about how the students should approach final examinations, how to check their results through the system, how to apply for Transcript and Certificate.
Ms Fatien, Chief Librarian then took over and guided the students regarding the different areas of library. While navigating through the online library system, she introduced students to CABDirect, Proquest, ebrary and how to utilize the information from these sources to uplift the standard of their written academic work.
Prof Dr Abhijit Ghosh, Dean, Faculty of Business was the next presenter and during his speech, Dr Ghosh, mentioned about the importance of changing the mindset and viewpoints of the MBA scholars so that from job seekers they can start thinking like entrepreneurs. He also mentioned that the importance of MBA graduates are ever growing and their professional skills, technical competencies, critical and analytical skills, decision making and problem solving will definitely steer the many future organizations towards nice future.
Madam Juliana, Director of Marketing, Lincoln university College closed the session with a vote of thanks to Senior Management of Lincoln University College, the students and lecturers of MBA program, for making sure the event is a grand success.
