Exploring Educational Ties: LUC Delegation Visit to Chinese Culture College, Guizhou University, China

On October 24, 2023, a notable delegation comprising Dr. Amiya Bhaumik, Founder & President, Lincoln University College, Malaysia, Henry Ma, Chairman of the World Chinese Business Investment Foundation, Ming Huang, Director of the China Regional Marketing Department, and Kishor Gaire, International Affairs Officer, accompanied by the Head of the International Exchange and Cooperation Office of Guizhou University, embarked on a visit to the East Campus of Chinese Culture College of Guizhou University, China.

Upon arrival, the distinguished guests were warmly welcomed by the Chinese Culture Academy’s representative, who provided a thorough overview of the academy’s cultural facilities and highlighted the rich cultural connotations in its academic programs. This visit proved to be a valuable opportunity for fostering international collaboration and cultural exchange, strengthening the bonds between the institutions.

The distinguished guests explored key features of the academy, including the statues of Confucius and Mr. Yin Zhen, stone carvings depicting “Guishan Academy,” and inscriptions of academic regulations. They learned about Chinese Confucian values like “Benevolence and Love” and the principles of education, emphasizing aptitude-based teaching and promoting harmony among nations. The academy’s educational philosophy underscores the unity of learning and life, theory and practice, and virtue and morality, blending Taoism and learning. This visit provided insights into the institution’s 120-year evolution from an academy to a university.
