Prof. Dr. Amiya Bhaumik, President, Lincoln University College, Malaysia Visits Shaoxing Vocational and Technical College for International Exchange

Prof. Dr. Amiya Bhaumik, Founder & President, Lincoln University College, Malaysia along with Gaire Kishor, Assistant to the President, and Wang Yigui, Visiting Professor visited Shaoxing Vocational and Technical College, China on March 27, 2024 for an international exchange.

The two parties entered into agreements and memoranda regarding collaborative educational programs in nursing, spanning from associate to bachelor’s degrees, along with research-focused master’s and doctoral training for educators.

A ceremony was conducted for the mutual appointment of part-time professors. Hu Quandong, Director of the Basic Medical Teaching and Research Section, was appointed as a part-time associate professor by LUC, while Dr. Bhaumik was appointed as a visiting professor by Shaoxing Vocational and Technical College.

Both parties engaged in extensive discussions aimed at advancing the high-quality development of Sino-foreign cooperative education initiatives in the nursing field. They also explored innovative avenues for collaboration in healthcare. An exchange event was organized where faculty and students from the medical school interacted directly with Amiya Bhaumik and her delegation.

This exchange initiative not only enhanced collaboration between the two institutions but also established the groundwork for both the institutions to expand international educational exchange endeavors further.
